P.2, Column 10, Dong-A Daily, Dec. 29, 1951

Petition for the release of abductees sent by KWAFA
The Association of Families of Persons Kidnapped at the Time of June 25th Incident (KWAFA) learned that the issue of exchanging POWs was on the table at the Military Armistice Talks. KWAFA therefore sent petitions to the UN Commander in Chief, General Ridgeway, the UN Command in Korea, and the UN Secretary General containing the following requests:
- Report the names and the whereabouts of abductees; and
- Release the abductees unconditionally; or
- If not unconditionally, release the abductees as POWs to be exchanged under the one-to-one exchange principle

According to the investigation by KWAFA, the number of abductees, including key figures in the government, now stands at 2,931.
