The Korean Red Cross will receive reports about abductees from June 15 to August 15. Those abductees who may be reported are political figures, public servants and patriotic activists taken to the North during the Korean War. Reports can be submitted irrespective of whether the names are on the list of 17,940 abductees.

People who are disqualified for submission are those who:1) volunteered for the Volunteer Army; 2) cooperated with the enemy or took pity on them; or 3) defected to North Korea of their own accord. The required information is as follows:

¡ã Required Information: (a) Name of the Abductee (Both in Korean and Chinese, and, if possible, English); (b) Gender;(c) Date of Birth;(d) Place of Birth; (e) Address at the Time of Abduction; (f) Occupation at the Time of Abduction(in detail: if applicable, write the public post); (g) Name of the Representative of the Family(h) Place and Circumstances of the Abduction (accurate and in detail)
