The Korean Red Cross released on the morning of the 18th a list of abductees who have been confirmed as living. A total of 337 abductees were confirmed as living in the North out of 7,034 who had been registered by the Korean Red Cross with the support of the International Red Cross.
The list was the first of its kind delivered to the South from the North Korean government through the International Red Cross.
The Korean Red Cross announced that another list of survivors would soon be delivered through the International Red Cross. The numbers at the top of the list are the abductees' registration numbers.
