Foreign Minister Byeon at a press conference on the 21st declared that it was only natural that a representative of South Korea must participate on the Committee for Repatriating Displaced Civilians.
He criticized the UN and Communist sides for refusing to allow the South Korean representative to attend the committee¡¯s meetings. Foreign Minister Byeon said negotiations about assigning a South Korean representative to the committee were underway between the government and General Hull, the supreme commander of UN forces.
