Seoul, May 22 (Yonhap) -- President Roh Moo-hyun sent a message Thursday to a ceremony of remembrance for fallen American soldiers, expressing gratitude for their sacrifice and devotion.

"U.S. soldiers, along with us, have safeguarded the security of the Republic of Korea and made a great contribution to maintaining peace and stability in Northeast Asia," Roh said in the message read at the ceremony held at the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) headquarters in Yongsan, central Seoul.
