TOKYO, June 23 Kyodo - Vice Foreign Minister Yukio Takeuchi indicated Monday that Japan has been calling on the United States to deal cautiously with North Korea`s nuclear problem at the U.N. Security Council (UNSC).
``We have been pushing for a diplomatic solution and have been calling for five-party talks,`` Takeuchi told a news conference.

He indicated it is desirable to see first how the North responds to the proposal to realize the five-party dialogue, which involves China, Japan, North and South Korea, and the U.S.
